‘May I Help You’ counter opens at Patna airport

Patna: A round the clock ‘May I Help You’ counter was opened near arrival hall at the terminal building of Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) Airport-Patna on Thursday for the convenience of the flyers.

The help desk service for passengers was inaugurated by a woman passenger in the presence of airport’s director Bhupesh C H Negi, Central Industrial Security Force’s (CISF) commandant Vishal Dubey, Airline Operators’ Committee chairman Rupesh Singh and other executives of airlines and staff. The service will give updated information on flight operations, airport facilities and services and emergencies to the passengers.
Negi said the staff deployed for the assistance service would help the passengers by sharing information on airport facilities, answering flyers’ queries on flight status, handling complaints and updating and monitoring the flight information system. “Airports Authority of India (AAI) will manage this facility through an outsourced agency,” he said.

Negi said the help desk would soon be equipped with several amenities, like wheel chairs and baby strollers. “A customer care number will also be released. Flyers will be able to share their grievances, feedback and suggestions through the help desk,” Negi said.
