PM Modi meets pilot who built 6-seater experimental aircraft

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Captain Amol Yadav, a young and energetic pilot who has built an experimental aircraft.

Captain Amol Yadav built the six-seater aircraft on the terrace of his residential building in suburban Mumbai and spent about 18 years perfecting the model.

Captain Amol Yadav faced difficulties in getting regulatory clearances from Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to process his Permit To Fly’ since 2011. He received clearance just three days ago on the directions from PM Modi.

On learning about Amol Yadav's struggle for the permit, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis brought it to the notice of PM Modi. Later on PM Modi's intervention, the young pilot’s request was quickly processed and he received his 'Permit to Fly' clearance from DGCA.
