In his inaugural speech Arunangshu Giri IPS, said, “Officials have to adopt an open door policy to listen to the complaints and suggestions from people. Once general public comes to know the system of vigilance, it helps in the reduction of illegal activities. Secondly, identification of the pockets of bribe is very important. Through this, officials will get more information about exchange of bribe, corruption and illegal activities. I appreciate Air India Authority, which has taken an initiative to educate people about vigilance. Awareness among youngsters may help reduce the tendency of receiving and giving bribe and other illegal activities.”
