Bengaluru Airport records 70% increase in coriander leaves cargo

Bengaluru: Bengaluru Airport registered an unprecedented 70 percent increase in the cargo of coriander leaves sent out from the airport between July and September 2019.

The Kempegowda International Airport handled 5,620 tonnes fresh leaves of coriander in these two months.

The refreshing and lemony flavoured leaf was transported by Indigo, Spice Jet, Go Air, AirAsia India, Air India and Vistara to 13 states in India and even to Sri Lanka. 2,926 tonnes of coriander leaf was sent to Delhi, while Kolkata took 1,218 tonnes.
