Chennai: In a first, a new
boarding gate management
system was today inaugurated at the Chennai
airport.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) Chairman Arvind Singh inaugurated it on his maiden visit to the city, an official release here said. The new system at boarding gates will enable the airline staff to enter the flight update from the boarding gates itself.
This will ensure better interaction between airlines and AOCC (Airport Operation Control Centre), speedy update of Flight Information Display System (FIDS), for the benefit of the passengers.
