Bengaluru: Daytime flights on the Kochi-Bengaluru sector — between 10am and 6pm — will be suspended for a four-month period, starting November 20. The runway at Kochi airport will be re-carpeted during this time.
There are at least 10 daytime services between the two cities, and they will not operate till March 26, 2020. These include Bengaluru to Kochi flights GoAir G8-815/ 507, Air India AI 564/509, Indigo 6E 7974, and Air India’s Kochi to Bengaluru flight AI 9I-9506.
Some airlines have adjusted their schedules by adding more flights to and from Kochi between 6pm and 10am. There are over 14 non-stop services between the two cities in these hours; most flights are scheduled between 6am and 7am and between 9pm and 11pm.
