Bhopal: Passengers created ruckus at Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport after Bhopal-Pune flight was cancelled Monday morning. The passengers alleged that the flight was cancelled without any prior information.
It all started when the passengers got to know that their Pune-bound Air India flight AI-481 was cancelled. The passengers alleged that Air India did not inform them about the flight cancellation. Around 55 passengers were stranded at the airport after the flight was cancelled.
The flight was scheduled at 10.45 am to reach the destination at 12.05 pm.
Air India officials on the other hand said that messages were sent to all the passengers but few of them did not receive due to a technical glitch.
However, the passengers refused to buy the argument. “What is our fault? We booked a seat and arrived at the airport. But they informed us about the flight cancellation only after we reached the airport,” said one of the passengers, Atul Upadhyay.
Another passenger alleged that AI has wasted their precious time. “Had AI informed in time, I would have booked another ticket to reach Pune via Mumbai. They now say they will accomodate me in the evening flight via Mumbai,” said another passenger.
