Flyers fume over 14-hr delay of GoAir flight to Kolkata

Pune: As many as 162 passengers of a GoAir flight to Kolkata, slated to take off from the Lohegaon airport at 10.25pm on Sunday, went through over a 16-hour-long ordeal because of rescheduling after the boarding was completed and diversion to Bhubaneswar due to poor visibility in Bengal capital.
Worse, the flyers were made to sit in the aircraft for an hour in Bhubaneswar. They spent two more hours on the tarmac before being taken to the terminal building there.

The flight (G8 394) was slated to take off from Pune at 10.25pm on Sunday and land in Kolkata at 12.50am on Monday. It finally reached the destination around 2.50pm on Monday — a delay of 14 hours.
A GoAir spokesperson said, “GoAir flight G8 394 from Pune to Kolkata was diverted to Bhubaneswar because of bad weather in Kolkata. The flight landed safely with 162 passengers on-board in Bhubaneswar. All passengers were deplaned, transferred to the terminal building and offered refreshments during the delay. However, this was aggravated with Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) of the crew, which led to a further delay in departure from Bhubaneswar. GoAir sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to its passengers.”
