Over 4-hr flight operation delays irk Tricity flyers

Mohali: Flights from Delhi, Ahmedabad and Srinagar arrived over 4 hours late at the Chandigarh International Airport on Monday, besides the 10 others which also witnessed delayed arrival and departures.
The airport officials claimed that visibility was not so poor and it was the delay at source that subsequently resulted in late departures from Chandigarh.

As per flight operators, Air Vistara UK-667 flight from Delhi arrived late by 4.26 hours. It landed at 12.41pm against the scheduled arrival of 8.15am. The flight UK-668 had departed from Delhi at 11.36am instead of 7.10am. The same flight took off from Chandigarh at 1.13pm against the scheduled time of 8.50am.

Similarly, GoAir G8-911 flight from Ahmedabad reached Chandigarh 4.10 hours late — at 3.35pm against the fixed arrival of 11.25am. The flight had departed at 1.56pm from Ahmedabad instead of 11.25am.

The same flight G8-913 while departing from Chandigarh flew out at 7.20pm rather than the scheduled time of 3.35pm.

GoAir flight G8-913 from Srinagar also arrived late by 3.30 hours. The flight landed at Chandigarh around 6.30pm, which was ideally expected to arrival at 3pm. The flight had departed at 5.23pm from Srinagar against the normal time of 1.45am.

Another flight, GoAir G8-513 from Hyderabad, landed here after a 1.47-hour delay. It arrived at the Chandigarh airport at 1.22pm instead of 11.35am. The flight had departed from Hyderabad at 10.23am against its scheduled time of 9.05am.
