Kannur: Customs sleuths on Saturday seized 1.038 kg of gold worth around 43 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Dubai in a GoAir flight.
Customs Assistant Commissioner E Vikas-led team detained Sadique Mathath of North Edacheri
in Kozhikode district in this connection.
The seized gold was concealed inside his shoes in compound paste form, customs sources said.
