Kangra: A large number of villagers from Ichhi, Sohra, Matour and Gaggal, who are in fear of getting dislodged due to the expansion of Kangra Airport, on Monday called on Kangra MLA Pawan Kajal in his office at Matour and demanded that Kangra airport should be expanded only up to the Manji river and threatened to launch an agitation if the airport was extended beyond Manji river.
Mr Kajal told UNI that the protesting villagers alleged that government officials were pressurising them and threatening them of forcibly acquiring their land for the airport expansion.
