Pune: The airport authorities are considering separate queues for flyers arriving in the city from destinations, within the country and abroad, affected by the coronavirus.
Sources at the airport said they were on full alert after the first positive case was confirmed in Kerala as Pune has a direct flight to Kochi.
“We have not received any specific instruction from top officials regarding screening of passengers at the airport. There is a possibility that passengers arriving from regions affected by the virus may be asked to form separate queues so that a team of doctors can check on them. Medical counters are being set up,” a source at the airport said.
