Punjab CM Amarinder Singh condoles death of IAF pilot in NCC's microlight aircraft crash

Patiala: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh expressed condolences after an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot was killed and an NCC cadet injured in a crash in Patiala on Monday. The microlight aircraft crashed soon after takeoff in the military area near the club on the Sangrur-Patiala road.

Taking to Twitter, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh mourned the death of the pilot and wished a speedy recovery to the injured cadet.

"Saddened to learn of the crash of a microlight aircraft leading to the unfortunate death of Group Captain GS Cheema and injury to one NCC cadet on board. My condolences to the family and prayers for quick recovery of the two injured cadets admitted to the Military Hospital," tweeted Singh.
