New Delhi: A twin-engine aircraft made a belly landing in Patiala on Wednesday as the pilot “forgot to lower the landing gear”. The Tecnam P2006T, belonging to Patiala Aviation Club, was on a training flight when this incident happened. Luckily, neither the instructor nor the trainee pilots were injured.
“The Patiala Aviation Club Tecnam P2006T aircraft was involved in a belly landing incident at Patiala Civil Aerodrome at about 1.20 pm. This was the third landing of the sortie. During approach they forgot to lower the landing gear. The DGCA is probing this,” said a senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official.
