AirAsia India completes IATA safety audit

AirAsia India has completed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), joining six other AirAsia group units to have achieved the safety certification.

The low-cost carrier, a joint venture between Tata Sons and AirAsia Investment, says the successful completion affirms its “world-class safety standards”.

A search on the IOSA registry website shows the airline’s certification is valid till 9 August 2021.

Other AirAsia group units that have completed IOSA are AirAsia, AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Thai AirAsia, Philippines AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X, the registry shows. Thai AirAsia completed it most recently, in late February.

The IOSA registration process covers eight key areas: corporate organisation and management systems, flight operations, operational control and flight dispatch, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling, cargo operations, and operational security, AirAsia says.
