India women’s cricket team had to return home with disappointment after they lose the finals against Australia in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. Well, Team Indi entered the finals for the first time but had to face defeat at the hands of hosts, who won the title for the fifth time. Following this, on Tuesday, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. landed in Mumbai but astonishingly there was no fan to welcome them.
India had an off day in the finals as they lost the game by 85 runs while they became the first Asian country to enter the grand final of the mega event. Although they could not lift the title, but there were many positives to drive out from the tournament.
The Women in Blue won all the league matches, also, defeating Australia in the league match. The team also got Shafali Verma who had given the best in every match except the finals when she lost her wicket easily.
So, It can not be said Team India had returned with an empty hand. This team is a strong contender and will surely fight back. But did they deserve so dull welcome?.
