Katra youth among AI Pilots helping in fight against COVID-19

Jammu: At the time when entire world is standstill because of COVID-19, the Air India Pilots along with the other Corona warriors are standing on the frontline in fight against the deadly pandemic by ensuring unhindered supply of medical aid.
Capt Saurav Khajuria from Katra, who is Ist Officer in Air India, is among the other frontliners helping the nation to get medicines, medical equipments and testing kits etc supplied from other countries thus adding strength to fight COVID-19.
Talking to the Excelsior after reaching at Delhi from Guangzahou in China from where he had flown a cargo plane carrying PPEs, Corona testing kits and other medical equipments, Capt Saurav said that he was feeling delighted on serving the nation in fight against deadly pandemic.
“Earlier , I have also flown plights to bring home the Indians stranded at abroad besides operating domestic flights to carry some foreigners and medical equipments from Delhi to other locations within the country,” informed Capt Saurav, who is all set to fly another plane from New Delhi to South Korea for bringing home consignment of medical supplies.
Pertinent to mention that Air India has so far flown more than 400 flights covering around 4 lakh kms to transport 748 tons of the medical supplies to various parts of India
Saurav Khajuria, son of Surinder Kumar Khajuria (New Subash Dry Fruits, Katra), has been serving in Air India since 2016 and has been operating domestic as well as international flights. He said that serving the nation, particularly at this crucial time, gives him a sense of satisfaction.
