Trichy: About 111 Malaysian nationals, who were stranded in Tamil Nadu following the cancellation of international flights in the wake of Covid-19 outbreak, were airlifted to Kuala Lumpur by a special rescue flight operated by Malindo Air on Monday.
The rescue flight via Chennai took off from the Trichy International Airport at 11.15am with 111 passengers, including women and children.
Passengers expressed their gratitude to the government for taking care of their arrangements and their safe stay in Tamil Nadu.
