West Bengal finally allows repatriation from abroad

New Delhi: West Bengal has finally allowed repatriation of domiciles from abroad when
a total of 169 Indians will be returning by Air India flight from Dhaka to Kolkata from
Monday.
Since a large number of residents from West Bengal are in Bangladesh, special efforts
have been undertaken by the High Commission of India in Dhaka to identify those who
with compelling reasons to return and accorded them due priority, according to informed
sources.68 US, UK nationals evacuated from Hyderabad

The Bengal government had earlier dragged its feet on the issue, ET was the first to
report.
The passengers on the first flight to Kolkata include 73 students, 16 elderly people, 45
stranded tourist, 16 cases of medical emergencies, and one pregnant lady.
