Mumbai: At least 188 Indians stranded in Dubai returned to Pune on Sunday in a chartered flight. As soon as the FlyDubai flight touched the runway at Pune International Airport, the returning passengers felt a sense of relief and jubilation. They were finally home after nearly three months.

Dhanashree Wagh, an event management owner in Dubai also flew back to Pune due to an emergency in her family.

Wagh, too, was emotional as the plane landed at Pune airport. All of the 188 passengers had tears in their eyes while walking out of the arrival lounge.

Out of the 188 passengers who reached Pune on Sunday, there were people from Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Ahmednagar, Akola, Purandar, Sangli as well as Kolhapur. All the passengers took rapid Covid-19 tests before boarding the flight.
All of them had tested negative. Now, they will have to followed 14 days of strict quarantine.

Kishore Shetty, 37, was another passenger who was among Indians who returned from Dubai to Pune. His other expired on Friday morning in Mumbai.

Kishore, who works in a law firm in Dubai, was unlikely to make it for his mother’s last rites, but fate had a surprise in store for him.
