Mohali: Two flights from Auckland in New Zealand and Lagos in Nigeria would arrive at the Chandigarh international airport under the central government's Vande Bharat mission to rescue Indians stranded abroad during the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials at the Chandigarh airport said Air India flight number 1317 will arrive from Auckland with 180 passengers at 4.30 pm. This flight will depart from New Zealand at 4 am and reach Delhi at 1.30 pm. After a halt of an hour, the flight will depart for Chandigarh.
Similarly, Air India flight number AI-1904 will arrive from Lagos with 155 passengers at 5 pm. The flight will depart from Lagos at 12.15 am and reach Delhi at 3 pm. After a halt of an hour, the flight will depart for Chandigarh at 4 pm.
A total of four flights from the US, Ukraine and two from Dubai under the Vande Bharat mission have arrived in Chandigarh till date.
