Fragile health care in Tripura: Air India saves life of a weekold child

Agartala: Thanks to Air India, a week old baby and a senior citizen of outskirt Agartala were survived after being airlifted to Kolkata last night following severe respiratory complications.
The doctors here have referred them for better treatment a day before but the patient parties could not manage their travel.
According to report, although there are a number of fleets of private airlines, lifting patients with them are a cumbersome process. As a result, hardly any patient could avail of the stretcher service of IndiGo airlines.
After a long break, when Air India resumed it’s service in Agartala from 1st June almost everyday it is lifting patients from here despite difficulties due to Covid-19 situation.
