Rati Pandey travels from Patna to Mumbai via flight: ‘I didn’t have a PPE kit, so I wore two t-shirts and then a shirt over it’

TV actress Rati Pandey is currently in self-quarantine in Umbergaon, Gujarat, along with the crew of the show, Devi Adi Parashakti. They are in Umbergaon to shoot for the show, which will start once the 14-day quarantine period of the cast and crew ends. The actress, who plays the lead character in the show, says, “I was happily spending the lockdown with my family in Patna when I got a call that the government has permitted to resume shoots and the production wants me to return to Mumbai, so that they could resume the shooting of our show. So I took a flight to Mumbai on June 10. Honestly, I was extremely scared to come to Mumbai considering the current situation and increasing number of coronavirus cases. But at the same time, I am happy that at least, I have work in my hands. With so many people losing jobs and facing financial problems, I, on the other hand, at least have something to look forward to. So I am relieved in that sense.”
Rati spoke about her experience of travelling to Mumbai via flight. She said, “It was a suffocating experience. I wore a mask and a face shield. I didn’t have a PPE kit, so I wore two t-shirts and then a shirt over it because I was that much scared. Inside the flight, I sanitised my seat before I sat on it. I was lucky that there were very few passengers in the flight.” After reaching Mumbai on June 10, the actress drove down to Umbergaon, a three-hour drive, on June 12.
