Pune: Thyssenkrupp Elevators said that it has bagged a project to provide 15 elevators and 8 escalators at the to-be-expanded Pune International Airport.

"The Pune airport is being revamped and expanded to handle the growth and improve handling capacity. The 42,000 sq metre new terminal building would be integrated with the existing one and it will sport thyssenkrupp elevator’s 15 elevators and 8 escalators," the company said in a statement.
The Pune airport expansion project will see investments of Rs 1,000 crore, and the funds will be used for expanding the terminal, cargo handling facilities, roads and parking space to augment capacity.
