Vande Bharat Mission Fulfils Singapore Cancer Patient's Last Wish, Unites With Mother In India

In a heartwarming gesture, the  Vande Bharat Mission which helps repatriate Indians stranded abroad, has helped fulfil a cancer patient's last wish.
According to an ANI report, the Indian mission helped  a cancer patient fulfil her last wish, to unite with her mother in Trichy, Tamil Nadu amid global travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The government launched Vande Bharat Mission in April to repatriate Indians who had been stranded around the globe because of COVID-19-related restrictions.
The Indian mission thanked Singapore Foreign Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, Air India Express and passengers who gave up seats for her and her family.
"Fulfilling the last wish of a person with few days left. Happy to unite a cancer patient with her mother in Trichy," the Indian mission tweeted along with a picture of the patient and her family.
