5 flights to operate from Mangaluru as part of India-UAE repatriation process

New Delhi: Air India Express on Friday July 10 released flight details as part of the two-week long repatriation operation between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
From July 12 to July 26 the airlines will be allowed to carry eligible passengers to and from the UAE. Over five flights will be operating from Mangaluru in this regard.
The first flight scheduled on July 13 will take off from Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at 7.30 am and arrive at Sharjah airport at 9.30 am.
The next flight is scheduled to depart on July 16 at 9.30 am from Mangaluru airport. It will arrive at the Dubai airport at 11.20 am.
Again, after a three-day interval, the third flight will carry out operation from MIA. On July 19 at 11.00 am a flight will take off from Mangaluru and arrive at Sharjah airport at 1.00 pm.
The following day, on July 20, a fourth flight from Mangaluru airport will take off at 7.30 am and arrive Sharjah at 9.30 am.
The final and the fifth flight from Mangaluru will conduct the operation on the final day of the repatriation mission. On July 26, the flight will take off from MIA at 8.00 am and land Abu Dhabi at 10.20 am. It is interesting to observe that most of the flight operations are being conducted to Sharjah as compared to the other parts of the UAE.
Ministry of Civil Aviation of India on Thursday announced the repatriation process from July 12 to July 26 as part of the strategic partnership between the two countries. The Civil Aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri had also tweeted on the matter. "As part of the close strategic partnership between the Govts of India & UAE, and with a view to assisting UAE residents who are presently in India to return to UAE, the Civil Aviation Authorities of both countries have agreed to operationalise a special arrangement," the tweet read.
