Kochi: The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) confirmed the operations of five repatriation flights carrying 700 passengers on Wednesday. These included an Air India flight from Kenya and Ethiopian Airline flight from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo via Addis Ababa. This is the least number of repatriation flights operated in a day to Kochi in the last one month. The domestic terminal handled 12 arrival and 13 departure operations with no cancellations.
The operations on Wednesday commenced with the arrival of Air India flight from Nairobi in Kenya via Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai at 8.50am. The Ethiopian Airlines flight from Kinshasa, Congo via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia touched down at 9.49am, and Air India Express flight from Muscat at 5.31pm. The Go Air flight from Dammam at 5.24pm and the Air India Express flight from Dubai is scheduled to reach at 10.02pm.
