Delhi To Get India's First Private Jet Terminal This Month; To Boast Of Largest Capacity In Entire South Asia

In a boost for the domestic aviation industry, Delhi is set to get the nation's first private jet terminal this month at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, reports Hindustan Times.

The terminal will enable and facilitate faster turnaround times for business jets and chartered planes, and save them from having to compete for taxiing slots with the flurry of commercial flights at the general passenger terminals.

The terminal has space to house 65 jets of all sizes, including large planes like Boeing 767 business jets and Boeing 777 jets.

It will also have the capacity to handle a maximum of 150 jet movements a day. The average movement capacity of the terminal is 75 jets per day, which make it the general aviation terminal with the highest capacity in the entire South Asia region.
