Malappuram: Two persons, who were landed at the Calicut International Airport at Karipur near here on Monday have been arrested on charges of smuggling gold from Saudi Arabia.
Airport sources said, the duo, Muhammed and Abdul Jabbar, arrived at the Airport in a chartered flight from Saudi Arabia.
The market value of the total gold seized from the two passengers is estimated to be around Rs 60 lakh, the sources added.
