Vijyapura: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Govinda Karjula said on Sunday that the tender process for a new airport has begun at Vijyapura and Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa will lay the foundation stone shortly.
Speaking to newsmen after inspecting the airport site he said the Vijyapura district known for its glorious tourist spots and special attraction with education institutions and horticulture.
The airport is necessary and it was a long pending demand of these parts of the people he said.
