Arunachal CM asks Airports Authority of India to expedite Hollongi Airport’s work

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has asked the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to expedite work of Hollongi Airport.
Chief minister on Thursday held a meeting with AAI to review the progress of the construction work of Hollongi Airport.
In the meeting attended by tourism and civil aviation minister Nakap Nalo, the chief minister urged the AAI to continue work on war footing to complete the project by 2022.
Khandu said the work must be carried out 24 hours a day to meet the deadline and said that the project once completed will bring in the much awaited air connectivity for state capital Itanagar.
The chief minister further assured the AAI for all cooperation for the work to continue unhindered.
The Hollongi airport is being built by the AAI over an area of 320 hectares.
