Merely two hours before the Air India Express IX 1344 made its ill-fated landing at Kozhikode airport, an Indigo flight from Bengaluru faced similar landing difficulties upon arrival.
Amit Singh, an industry veteran and Fellow of London's Royal Aeronautical Society, revealed the circumstances in his personal blog AvoBanter.
'An IndiGo AT-72 turboprop landed at Kozhikode airport 01hr45min prior to the ill-fated Air India Express B-737. The IndiGo ATR followed a similar flight profile before landing on the easterly direction runway 10 at the airport', wrote Singh.
