Thiruvananthapuram: In a bid to encourage domestic air travel in Kerala, the tax rate on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has been reduced from 5% to 1% for all domestic flights in the State.
The decision was taken by a Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
The tax was reduced for domestic flights operating from the Kochi International Airport at Nedumbassery and the Kozhikode International Airport at Karipur for a period of 10 years. The
Cabinet meeting held today approved this decision.
