Panaji: Air travelers to compulsorily carry COVID negative report

Panaji: The Goa airport on Wednesday, August 5 issued advisory for the inbound passengers making it mandatory to carry COVID-19 negative certificate during their travel to the coastal state.

The Airport Authority of India (AAI), which manages the facility, has also said that those who do not carry COVID-19 negative certificate from ICMR certified labs, will have to undergo 14 days home or paid quarantine upon their arrival in the state.

The AAI said, “COVID-19 test shall be done for all symptomatic passengers and they will have to undergo institutional quarantine till the test results are available.”

The passengers will have to produce a COVID-19 negative certificate issued by ICMR recognized lab, not older than 48 hours prior to their arrival in Goa, the advisory reads.

The passenger can also opt for swab test upon arrival at a cost of Rs 2,000 and remain institutional or home quarantined till the results are declared.
