Vistara to start London flights from August 28; will also fly to Paris & Frankfurt

New Delhi: Vistara’s long wait to start medium haul international flights has finally ended. It will operate thrice weekly flights between Delhi and London Heathrow from August 28 to September 30, 2020, under the air bubble India has created with the UK. The Tata Group-Singapore Airlines JV will also operate special flights to Paris and Frankfurt under the air bubbles with France and Germany.

The full-service carrier (FSC) had got its first Dreamliner this March but the pandemic delayed launch of flights to places in this wide body aircraft’s range like Europe and Japan. Vistara currently has two Boeing 787 Dreamliners in its fleet.

“Vistara will operate special, non-stop flights between Delhi and London Heathrow from August 28 to September 30, 2020, marking its foray in long-haul international operations. The flights have been introduced as part of the bilateral ‘transport bubble’ formed between India and the UK. During the period, Vistara will fly thrice a week between the two cities — on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The one way fares from Delhi to London start from Rs 29,912 in economy; Rs 44,449 in premium economy and Rs 77,373 in business,” the airline said in a statement.
