After UK, Hyderabad airport resumes its direct connection with Dubai

Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Thursday reconnected itself to Dubai under 'air transport bubbles' as part of the efforts of the union government to restart international air connectivity amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Amid the coronavirus guidelines and Unlock 4.0 reopening, the air travel is now showing signs of recovery.

On Thursday, restarting the connection between Hyderabad and Dubai, the first flight of Emirates (EK 526), a Boeing 777- 300ER aircraft, arrived with passengers at 08.25 am at the Hyderabad International Airport with the first departure from Hyderabad at 10 am.

According to airport authorities, the UAE-based Emirates airline would be operating three times weekly every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
"The UAE-based Emirates airline would be operating three times weekly every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Any passenger can book a ticket from Hyderabad to Dubai as per the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. All passengers will have to adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines," a GMR Hyderabad International Airport statement said.
