New Delhi: Soon, all passengers flying in and out of IGI Airport will be able to get a Covid test done to avoid quarantine as per norms if they test negative. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has sought government nod to make its newly-established Covid testing facility available to all passengers, whether domestic or international.
At present only international passengers flying into India can get a Covid test done at their port of arrival and those who test negative can then take connecting domestic flights.
"DIAL set up a testing facility and has expanded it substantially. At present about 350 international passengers get tested on a daily basis. We have sought government nod to allow any passenger to avail of this testing facility," said a source.
