Bengaluru: In a major drug haul, officials of Bengaluru Customs department seized drugs worth Rs 1 crore at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Officials recovered 1,980 pills hidden inside a foot-massager which was being imported from Belgium through a courier service.
As per a report in The Times Of India, officials are now tracking a Nigerian resident of Bannerghatta Road, who is believed to be the importer of the drugs.
The package had reached the KIA cargo section on Tuesday. After officials saw some tampering with the packaging, they opened it and saw hundreds of colourful pills stuck inside the foot-massager machine in small packets with the help of brown tape.
