On 18 August, my daughter and I flew Economy to London from Mumbai on British Airways. I was to drop my daughter off at boarding school. This was the second flight from Mumbai after the air bubble came into effect. Prior to the flight, we researched every part of the journey. Neither BA nor the Indian government or UK government required or asked for a Covid test.
My daughter and I are both US citizens who hold an OCI status. While my daughter had to apply for a Tier 4 student visa, I did not need a visa for the UK. My daughter and I wore long-sleeved shirts, track pants, running shoes, gloves, masks and tied our hair back. All other passengers were dressed as they might normally.
