Kannur: Customs sleuths seized
937 grams of gold worth around Rs 47 lakh
from a passenger who arrived at Kannur
International Airport from Sharjah in a 'Air
Arabia' chartered flight scheduled under
Vande Bharat Mission.
According to Air Intelligence unit sources, Customs Assistant Commissioner S Madhusoodana Bhat led team seized the gold and detained one person of Kasaragod who arrived in the flight on Monday night. The seized gold was kept in capsule form in his underwear, the customs officials said.
