Shimla: The Indian Airport Authority (IAA) on Thursday told the Himachal Pradesh Assembly that they plan to extend the length of Gagal Airport runway from 1,372 meters to 3,010 meters, for which the 144-53-23 hectare land will be acquired in Sahapur Tehsil of Kangra district.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, in a written reply to a query by Congress member from Kangra Pawan Kajol during the Question Hour, said that a report received from the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra said that about 144-53-23 hectare land would be acquired for the purpose, which includes 120-57-01 hectare private land.
