Kozhikode: Air Intelligence Unit of Customs at the Calicut International Airport seized 250 grams of gold worth Rs 12 lakh from a passenger who arrived at the airport from Saudi Arabia early Monday morning.
The passenger identified as Mahamood Arife, hailing from Payyoli near Kozhikode, had arrived in Indigo flight 6E 9365 from Jeddah.
The gold was concealed inside an iron box in his luggage.
