New airline FlyBig to connect Pasighat, Lengpui, Tezu with Guwahati

The North East region is all set to receive a new airline service under UDAN 4.0 which would connect Pasighat, Tezu-Imphal and Lengpui with Guwahati city.
The news domestic airlines focusing its routes on UDAN through regional connectivity and planning to operate its services in the North East India is a regional Airline- FlyBig.
The CEO of FlyBig airline, said that the airline is very much enthusiastic about their first operations in this beautiful part of the country.
Guwahati airport will be connected with the three routes initially with ATR-72 type aircrafts in operation as informed by the Airlines authorities.
However, Guwahati-Rupsi-Kolkata route has been planned to open after the Rupsi airport in Assam opens for flight operations.
Informing more about the services, JT Radhakrishna, officiating regional executive director, AAI- North East Region said that the FlyBig airline’s services are expected to be operational after mid-November this year. However, some new routes may also be made operational through the same airline by the end of this year or next year.
"Smaller aircrafts are the future of the UDAN programme and as far as the Northeast Region is concerned, more routes are expected to be open for regional connectivity as identified by Govt in UDAN 4.0. On the occasion we welcome new airline FLyBig in the region and expect their daily regular services here," he added.
