If you find yourself at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at Terminal 3, you cannot miss the giant green dome-like installation. That one is to make sure that you don’t get bored while waiting for your flight. You can hop into this planetarium-like dome to travel to your next chosen holiday destination, virtually.
The virtual dome is the latest VR project of QuaQua, a Hyderabad based end-to-end virtual travel platform which focuses on providing people with 360-degree experiences so they are clearer on their choice of a holiday destination.
You don’t need a headset for this. That means there's no danger of virus transmission through a used headset. They have to operate it keeping in mind all airport rules and adopting all safety measures. Sanitation, mask-wearing and physical distancing rules have to be strictly followed. The dome is sanitised hourly. It can hold up to 16 people, but physical distancing measures allows a maximum of four people.
