Unlock 5 travel guidelines: What you need to know

The Centre announced the next set of unlock guidelines for India now that October is upn us. Of course, the key point of interest here is what is now allowed once again? Well, plenty of things will now be allowed in India under the purview of Unlock 5, including re-opening of schools, cinema halls, and several other things. But in this article we will focus on the travel related guidelines issued by the Home ministry. So, let's get to it then, shall we?

International flights and thus international air travel for passengers remains banned till 31 October. This does not include the exceptions permitted by MHA.

States across India are not permitted to implement any local lockdown outside Containment Zones without consulting the central government.

Restriction-free inter-state and intra-state travel as well as movement of goods has already been allowed. It continues to remain in effect and there is no need for individual approval, e pass, e permit, etc. for it as well.
