Air Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 46 lakh from woman passenger

Kannur: Air Customs sleuths on Thursday seized 883 grams of gold worth around Rs 46 lakh from a woman passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Sharjah in a chartered flight under Vande Bharat Mission. 
 Assistant Commissioner E Vikas-led team detained Safoora Muhammed, a resident of Payyoli in Kozhikode district, who arrived in an Air India flight on Thursday, customs sources said. The seized gold was in the compound form and kept in her underwear.
