Ravi Shankar Prasad's chopper's blades break at Patna airport after he alights, minister safe

Patna: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's helicopter was damaged after its blades broke at the Patna airport on Saturday. The accident occurred after the minister had alighted from the helicopter. He if fine.

The helicopter blades broke after they hit an overhead wiring at a construction site.

Informing about the incident, Ravi Shankar Prasad's officer tweeted that he is safe and sound.

"Rotor blade of the helicopter carrying Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was damaged at the airport hangar after the dignitaries had already alighted and left. He is totally safe and sound," Ravi Shankar Prasad's office tweeted.

"I went to Jhanjharpur for an election campaign. Rotor blade of the helicopter that was used during travel was damaged a little after I de-boarded it. I am absolutely fine," Ravi Shankar Prasad was quoted as saying by ANI.

The minister was in Bihar to campaign for the NDA for the state assembly elections.
