New routes from KIA this month

The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), which has been witnessing a steady increase in the number of domestic flights over the last few weeks, will be adding more flights and routes starting this month.
Air Asia India has started daily flights between Bengaluru-Kolkata, Kolkata-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Kochi, Kochi-Bengaluru from November 12 onwards. Similarly, SpiceJet has also announced new flights on the Bengaluru-Jabalpur route from November 20.
This flight will operate on all days except Tuesdays. The airline also said that it will add Nashik in Maharashtra as its 50th domestic destination connecting it with the key metros, including Bengaluru. Flights on the Bengaluru-Nashik-Bengaluru sector will commence from November 20.
Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet, said, “We are delighted to add Nashik as our 14th UDAN destination and connect this key city in Maharashtra to Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. It has been our constant endeavour to take air travel to the smaller towns and cities of India and we see a strong demand for air travel to and from Nashik.”
Additionally, it will also start a new daily flight on the Bengaluru-Kolkata sector. Kolkata recently turned out to be the top most travelled domestic destination from Bengaluru. It replaced Delhi as the number one domestic destination for travellers from the KIA.
