Air Asia India has started daily flights between Bengaluru-Kolkata, Kolkata-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Kochi,
Kochi-Bengaluru from November 12 onwards.
Similarly, SpiceJet has also announced new flights on the Bengaluru-Jabalpur route from November 20.
This
flight will operate on all days except Tuesdays.
The airline also said that it will add Nashik in Maharashtra as its 50th domestic destination connecting it with the
key metros, including Bengaluru. Flights on the Bengaluru-Nashik-Bengaluru sector will commence from
November 20.
Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet, said, “We are delighted to add Nashik as our
14th UDAN destination and connect this key city in Maharashtra to Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. It has been
our constant endeavour to take air travel to the smaller towns and cities of India and we see a strong demand for
air travel to and from Nashik.”
Additionally, it will also start a new daily flight on the Bengaluru-Kolkata sector.
Kolkata recently turned out to be the top most travelled domestic destination from Bengaluru. It replaced Delhi
as the number one domestic destination for travellers from the KIA.
