Umroi Airport: FlyBig's Direct Shillong-Delhi flight service starting from Dec 21

Shillong: The new-born regional airline, FlyBig airline is all ready to begin its Delhi-Umroi-Delhi flight operations from December 21. However, the airline is yet to have an aircraft of its own on this route. The Meghalaya government has signed a contract with the Flybig airlines to operate direct Delhi-Shillong flights. 

In the Shillong flight inaugural on December 21, the Transport Minister of Meghalaya Sniawbhalang Dhar would represent the state government. The airline is making arrangements to operate a Bombardier Q400 aircraft, twice a week. The flights will operate from Umroi, Shillong airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Umroi Airport is located in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya. It is around 30 KM from Shillong. India's new scheduled commuter airline, FlyBig (Big Charter Pvt. Ltd) was given the contract through a tender, which was put forward by the Meghalaya Transport Corporation at the beginning of 2020.
