Coimbatore: Low cost airline GoAir is launching its services from Coimbatore with an afternoon flight between the city and Mumbai, starting Thursday.
The flight will depart from Mumbai at 12.40pm and land in Coimbatore at 2.30pm. It will take off from Coimbatore at 3pm and land in Mumbai at 4.50pm.
GoAir chief executive officer Kaushik Khona said, “We chose Coimbatore because timings and the route are viable. We see stable demand between the two cities, unlike routes which see a seasonal or cyclic demand.”
“We are detecting demand among not only industrial and business fliers, but also leisure travellers. Coimbatore is also an entry and exit point to neighbouring Kerala and Ooty,” he added.
